Single Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth made from titanium, which is inserted into the jawbone and capped with a crown or bridge resulting in a complete, aesthetically pleasing smile.

If I am only missing one tooth, are implants a suitable option?

Yes! Many of our patients with a single missing tooth have chosen dental implants to restore their natural confident smile!

What are the advantages of a single implant?

A single implant will fill in the gap created by a single missing tooth. Implants are permanent and, unlike dentures, do not need to be removed for maintenance and cleaning.

Also, unlike a bridge which affects the teeth that surround it, when an implant is placed none of the adjacent teeth are affected.

The crown that will be attached to your single implant will be custom-made just for you.

This allows our skilled team to select the exact shade and shape of crown that is correct for you, resulting in a beautifully corrected smile with no unsightly gaps!

How will I clean my implant?

To care for your dental implant, you will follow your regular dental hygiene routine, with daily brushing and flossing, and with regular check-ups and professional cleaning.

How will my single implant be inserted?

When we insert a single implant, we follow a two-step process. Over the course of three appointments, we will perform an Implant Placement procedure and an Implant Restoration procedure.

How will I know if a single implant is right for me?

If you have a gap in your smile due to a single missing tooth, and would like to permanently restore your smile by filling in that gap, you might be a candidate for a single dental implant.

Our team would be pleased to discuss whether a single dental implant might be right for you.
